This is an established site overlooking the Pentland Firth with views
of Stroma Island, Hoy and the Orkney Islands. The site is situated midway
between the ferry at John o'Groats and the roll-on-roll-off ferry at
Gills Bay. Both ferries have daily sailings to Orkney.

This is an open site (no trees) and is small in size - only about one
acre - half is grassed, half hard-standing - and it is reasonably flat.

Sufficient hard-standing and electric hook-up points are provided for
8 motorhomes/caravans and enough room for 8 normal-sized tents.
(Motorhomes and caravans are restricted to the hard-standing areas)

The campsite has modern wash-room facilities and a dish-washing area.
In addition there is also provision for fresh water fill-up and waste
water/chemical disposal (we do not have a laundry facilty).

  
Directions
 
From Wick follow the A99 north to John o'Groats, turn left on to
the A386 Thurso road (opposite the Seaview Hotel); the campsite is
1 mile on the left at Huna.
